Fluid Yoga School Policies

Attendance Policy

We want trainees to be as successful as possible and as with most things “the more you put in the

more you’ll get out”. We do understand of course that things come up and obligations can conflict with

the program schedule. The sooner you let your instructor know of your absences the better we can

guide you in maintaining your training schedule. We want to make the opportunities as easy as possible

so as not to delay your graduation.

Here are some specifics on our attendance policies that might be helpful to know;

● We ask that students be respectful of the program and the other students in the program and be

on time and ready to begin at the start of any session.

● Students are expected to have reviewed and adhere to our Code of Conduct Policies (see

above). Gossip, harassment, bullying, or any other behavior that is inappropriate or disruptive to

the welfare of the program or to fellow students will not be tolerated.

● You are expected to complete all hours of the training in order to graduate and receive your

certificate.

● You are expected to have paid all fees in full and in advance in order to graduate and receive

your certificate unless other arrangements have been made with the Teaching Instructor or

School Administrator.

Tardiness

● If you are late or need to miss part of a day this must be communicated in advance to your

teaching instructor or assistant so they can provide you with the necessary information on

making that up.

● Make-up sessions will vary based on the content missed. Sessions may require but are not

limited to one or more of the following;

○ information may be able to be obtained by a fellow student,

○ additional homework and self study time may be required,

○ 1:1 time with an instructor charged at $100/hour. Make up fees are not covered in the

tuition.

● Habitual tardiness will be noted and the instructor will address this issue at their discretion.

● Please see the Payment and Refund Policy (below) for information as it relates to tuition and

additional fees.

Absences

● If you have a conflict that will prevent you from attending 1 or more days of a session this must

be communicated in advance to your teaching instructor or assistant so they can provide you

with the necessary guidance for making up missed days.

● Make-up sessions will vary based on the content missed. Sessions may require but are not

limited to one or more of the following;

○ information may be able to be obtained by a fellow student,

○ additional homework and self study time may be required,

○ 1:1 time with an instructor charged at $100/hour. Make up fees are not covered in the

tuition.

○ reschedule those days at a future date when the training is offered again.

additional fees.

Withdrawal

If a student wishes to withdraw from our program for any reason, they must first contact the

program director to discuss their reasons for withdrawal. Refunds will be given in accordance

with the program’s refund policy.

Tuition & Refund Policy

● Teacher Trainings require a $500 (or published amount) non-refundable deposit and the full

payment is due 30 days before the training starts.

● Cancellations can be made up to 30 days in advance of the training start date. A refund will be

made less the non-refundable deposit. After 30 days investment to date is non-refundable.

● The program tuition fees are non-refundable. If a student must withdraw from the program for

● special circumstances, the program may give a partial refund to the student but it is at the

discretion of the school administrator.

● The program will not give any refunds or credits after the training starts. The program reserves

● the right to cancel any training before it begins. In that case any payments applicants have

● made will be refunded in full.

● If absences or tardiness (see Attendance Policy above) require make-up sessions, those

make-up sessions are not covered by the base tuition and will be billed separately.

● Payment plans are available and refund policies will be communicated within those plan details.

Reporting of Policy Violations

We encourage anyone who has been the subject of sexual misconduct or any other action that violates

our policies and Code of Conduct to report the incident to our school management (henceforth referred

to as the “reviewing body”). The report should contain the following information:

● Your full name;

● Your email and phone number;

● The name of the person who the grievance is against;

● A description of the alleged policy violation;

● The date and location of the policy violation;

● Names and contact information of any witnesses with first-hand knowledge of the situation; and,

● Any other credible evidence that is available to support the grievance.

In the interest of fairness and privacy, all reports must be made by the person who has personally

experienced the misconduct. We will not investigate a matter based upon a third-party report of

misconduct.

All reports must be made in good faith based on information the person reporting the incident

reasonably believes to be accurate.

We may request additional information from the person reporting the incident throughout the course of

review of the report.

We will take appropriate action to ensure compliance with our policies. The reviewing body will impose

any sanctions that it feels are fair, just, and reasonable under all circumstances.

We will not allow anyone to retaliate against any person for making a report in good faith or providing

information in connection with an investigation into an alleged violation.

Any information provided during a grievance report review will be treated on a confidential basis.

Similarly, any actions that are taken in response to the report will also be confidential.

Anti-Harassment

We do not permit managers, employees, teachers, independent contractors, students, or

others in the workplace to harass any other person because of age, gender (including pregnancy),

race, ethnicity, culture, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, disability, socioeconomic

status, genetic information, or any other basis proscribed by law.

We do not tolerate sexual harassment in our studio. Sexual harassment refers to any unwelcome

sexual attention, sexual advances, requests for sexual favors and other verbal, visual or

physical conduct of a sexual nature when the conduct harms the person’s employment or

working environment.

We prohibit sexual misconduct in our studio. Sexual misconduct is any unsolicited and unwelcome

sexual advance including requests for sexual favors, sexual touching, and verbal, visual, or

physical conduct that creates a sexually hostile environment in a yoga class or studio.

Teachers shall not invite, respond to, or allow any sexual or romantic conduct with a student

during the period of the teacher-student relationship.

Anti-Retaliation

We prohibit retaliation against anyone for reporting a violation of our Code of Conduct or

other policies, or for participating in an investigation relating to a violation of our Code of

Conduct or other policies.
